The Tables panel is where you determine the placement of EndNote charts or tables in a Microsoft Word document. Tables are copied from the Figure field in EndNote into your Word document with Cite While You Write.
Note: Tables can be inserted only from Figure field of the "Chart or Table" reference type in EndNote. Images from the Figure field of all other reference types are inserted into Word as figures.
Placement
Select one of these options to place each table either directly after the paragraph that cites it or in a list at the end of the document:
Insert tables in-text, near the reference to the table
Insert tables as a list at the end of the document
When you insert tables in-text, you can use Cite While You Write Preferences to override this automatic placement when you reformat. This is helpful if you have moved tables around in your document and want to retain their placement.
Captions
For each table, a label is inserted by EndNote (for example, "Table 1"), while the Caption is inserted from the Caption field in the EndNote reference. Select one of these options to place the label and caption either above or below each table:
Place caption above the table
Place caption below the table
Then, select the check box if you want the label and caption to appear on separate lines.
